The five-pointed star appears in the flags of 35 countries, and is thought to have first appeared in 1777 on the flag of the newly declared United States of America.
The Closest Farthest Away is a collaborative theatrical production created by American and Cuba artists, 4 years in the making. This blog documents our rehearsal process and visual research as we are in our last leg of staging the production to premiere at the Havana Film Festival in December 2009.
